  • OEC begins construction of 40 health units in Belo Horizonte

    On July 22, OEC – Odebrecht Engineering & Construction, through the BH Health Concessionaire, signed a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) contract with the City of Belo Horizonte and began the construction of 40 health centers in the capital of Minas Gerais, an investment of approximately R$ 215 million. The first unit should be ready by December this year.

    The contract includes the construction and provision of non-assistance services for health units, which will be installed in nine regions of Belo Horizonte.

    The Health Centers will have a reception, administrative areas, offices for Family Health Teams, pharmacy, waiting rooms, collection and vaccine areas, as well as bandage, hygiene and observation rooms. The project also provides dentist offices, multipurpose room, pantry, living room, changing rooms and toilets, spaces for community agents and epidemic control, totaling an estimated built area of ??40,000 m² in all structures.

    In addition to the construction, the Concessionaire will be responsible for the administration of cleaning and conservation services, building maintenance, property security, clinical engineering and utility management. The services related to medical care (assistance) will be under the responsibility of the City of Belo Horizonte.
