Odebrecht Engenharia & Construção has reached an important milestone by receiving the Brazilian GHG Protocol Program Gold Seal for the 13th consecutive year. This certification represents the highest level of recognition for excellence in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions inventories and indicates the publication of a complete inventory verified by a Greenhouse Gas Inventory Verification Body (OVV) accredited by Inmetro.

For the past 16 years, the company has continuously disclosed its comprehensive GHG emissions inventory, consolidating information from its operations in Brazil and other countries. Prepared based on rigorous criteria of accuracy, methodological consistency, and comprehensiveness, the document reinforces the transparency of the organization’s actions and helps support its clients in their decarbonization efforts.

This achievement highlights Odebrecht’s commitment to responsible climate management and the adoption of sustainable practices supported by reliable data. More than a recognition, it represents a strategic advancement in strengthening environmental targets and guiding mitigation actions aligned with the ongoing transition to a low-carbon economy.

    About the GHG Protocol

Managed by the Center for Sustainability Studies of Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGVces), the Brazilian GHG Protocol Program is responsible for adapting the GHG Protocol methodology to the Brazilian context and developing calculation tools for estimating corporate greenhouse gas emissions. The program provides participants with access to internationally recognized tools and quality standards for emissions accounting and the publication of inventories in the Public Emissions Registry.

The Brazilian GHG Protocol Program promotes a corporate culture that supports the preparation and publication of GHG emissions inventories. Through engagement and technical and institutional capacity building, the program aims to foster a voluntary corporate culture focused on identifying, calculating, and preparing inventories of greenhouse gas emissions generated by human activities that contribute to the greenhouse effect and drive climate change.
