DATE: 07/07/2026
Nova Infra Invest participated in the P3C Northeast on July 3, held in Fortaleza at the Ceará Events Center. The event brought together public and private-sector leaders to discuss the future of infrastructure, public-private partnerships (PPPs), and concessions in the region.
During the event, Nova Infra took part in the roundtable discussion “Highways in the Northeast: Concessions, Rebalancing, and Financing for New Investments,” which addressed the challenges and opportunities of highway concessions in the region. The panel explored topics such as project structuring, contractual rebalancing, input costs, demand risk, and mechanisms to enhance the attractiveness of both existing assets and new projects for domestic and international private investors.
The panel featured Nathalia Saad, Head of the Infrastructure and Highway Concessions Department at BNDES; Viviane Esse, National Secretary for Road Transport at Brazil’s Ministry of Transport; Alexandre Krzyzanovski, Engineering Director at Pumatronix Group; and Vitor Lima, Engineering Manager representing Nova Infra Invest. The discussion was moderated by Marco Aurélio Barcelos, CEO of ABCR – the Brazilian Association of Highway Concessionaires.
For Nova Infra Invest, participating in P3C Northeast reinforces the company’s commitment to an integrated infrastructure agenda capable of driving regional development and generating sustainable value for society. The region, home to more than 56 million people, has increasingly established itself as a strategic hub for new investments and long-term projects.
One concrete example of this commitment is Rota dos Sertões, a concession awarded in May of this year. The project will connect Feira de Santana, in Bahia, to Salgueiro, in Pernambuco, through more than 500 kilometers of highways, crossing 16 municipalities and contributing to logistics integration, road safety, and the strengthening of local productive chains.
During the panel, Vitor Lima highlighted the role of highways as a driver of development and regional integration. A native of Feira de Santana, a city included in the concession route, and someone with strong ties to the region, he emphasized the project’s special significance: “we have reestablished the Group’s presence in the Northeast, bringing with us the belief that good infrastructure is the kind that connects people, markets, territories, and opportunities,” he reflected.
This edition of P3C Northeast brought together more than 600 participants, over 60 speakers, and representatives from all nine Northeastern Brazilian states. The program featured four simultaneous stages and 12 thematic panels. The event fostered dialogue among investors, public-sector leaders, operators, and experts on topics including logistics, renewable energy, sanitation, public lighting, smart cities, mobility, social infrastructure, financing, and regulation.
