Expo Industria 2026 positions the South American Integration Routes as a key driver of development
DATE: 07/01/2026
Expo Industria 2026, organized by the National Society of Industries (SNI) as part of its 130th anniversary celebrations, established itself as a key platform for showcasing Peru’s productive potential. The trade fair brought together companies, exhibitors, and national and international representatives, highlighting the diversity, innovation, and competitiveness of Peruvian industry. In addition, it introduced, for the first time, international areas dedicated to China and Germany, strengthening the global reach of the industrial sector.
One of the most significant attractions was the South American Integration Routes stand, which highlighted the connection between Nova Infra Invest’s IIRSA Norte and IIRSA Sur concessions and Brazilian corridors such as the Amazon Route and the Rondônia Quadrant. This logistics network positions Peru as a strategic hub between the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, facilitating trade with Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas, while offering more efficient logistics alternatives to congested routes such as the Panama Canal.
The stand also provided an interactive experience through a digital map and a participatory trivia activity, helping visitors better understand the impact of these corridors on regional trade. As part of the initiative, representative products from the areas influenced by IIRSA Norte and IIRSA Sur were distributed, including specialty coffee from San Martín and cookies made with Brazil nuts from Madre de Dios, promoting the productive identity of the regions connected by these routes.
The article emphasizes that the South American Integration Routes represent a concrete opportunity to promote territorial development, connect productive regions, and generate new economic dynamics. In the north, the route linking Piura and Yurimaguas enables a multimodal connection to Manaus, while in the south, IIRSA Sur connects ports such as Matarani with Cusco, Madre de Dios, and Iñapari, a key gateway for integration with Brazil.
Expo Industria 2026 reaffirms Peru’s strategic role as a regional logistics platform, capable of strengthening the competitiveness of national industry, promoting South American integration, boosting foreign trade, and creating new development opportunities for the regions.
