DATE: 10/02/2025
The company reached a revenue of R$ 5.2 billion in 2024, marking a 48% growth compared to the previous year.
Odebrecht Engenharia e Construção secured first place in the 2025 Brazilian Engineering Ranking, published by O Empreiteiro magazine, establishing itself as the leader among the 500 largest engineering companies in the country. This benchmark study highlighted the company’s performance, which recorded gross revenue of R$ 5.2 billion in 2024—a 48% increase over the previous year—ensuring its leadership among both national and international construction firms operating in Brazil.
The ranking is based on audited financial data and information reported directly by the companies. In addition to measuring recent performance, the study tracks the evolution of companies, highlighting those that stand out for consistent growth, innovation, and operations in strategic areas such as infrastructure, energy, and specialized engineering services.
Present in some of the country’s most important ongoing projects, Odebrecht operates across a diverse portfolio including urban mobility, infrastructure, energy, and sanitation. This portfolio reflects a trend identified in the ranking: companies that innovate, diversify their operations, and invest in technology grow more consistently and rapidly. The company uses digitalization processes, such as the BIM methodology, to enhance its ability to innovate, increase efficiency, and deliver higher-quality and safer projects.
Recent Deliveries – In Brazil, Odebrecht completed high-impact projects, including support facilities for the Brazilian Submarine Development Program (Prosub) in the defense sector. In urban mobility, the company delivered the Transbrasil BRT and four BRT terminals in Rio de Janeiro, the Cesário de Melo Avenue underpass in the same city, and the duplication of a section of the Rodovia dos Minérios in Paraná. It also delivered five new Health Centers in Belo Horizonte and, through its subsidiary Tenenge, completed the construction of the South Gas Terminal in Santa Catarina—a key project for expanding the state’s natural gas supply.
In the United States, it completed the first phase of the new check-in area and the baggage system interconnection at Miami International Airport, a project that received top scores in all evaluation criteria set by Miami-Dade County. In Angola, the period was marked by the delivery of strategic and complex projects, including the Barra do Dande Ocean Terminal—essential for fuel storage—and the Cabinda and Lobito refineries, which are crucial for strengthening the African country’s energy autonomy.
The ranking result also symbolizes the recovery and dynamism of Brazil’s engineering sector. The 2025 edition reveals an increasingly competitive market, with new players gaining ground, traditional companies reinventing themselves, and areas such as consulting and digital engineering services experiencing strong growth. The study also highlights trends expected to drive the sector in the coming years, such as projects from the New PAC, energy transition initiatives, ESG and sustainability investments, and the expansion of digital technologies—all of which reinforce the sector’s dynamism and open new growth opportunities.
