Tenenge’s Managing Director, Maurício Almeida, was one of the speakers at the OTC – Offshore Technology Conference, which took place between May 5 and 8 in Houston, USA.

Representing Sinaval, where he has been Vice-President since 2019, Maurício took part in the panel “Setting the Scene in Brazil: An Anticipation of What Is Coming” on May 5 and gave the opening speech at the “Maritime Industries Connections: Brazil Offshore Energy Sector – Roundtable Business Meeting” the following day, which was attended by important industry figures such as Magda Chambriard, President of Petrobras; Renata Baruzzi, Director of Engineering and Innovation at Petrobras; Roberto Ardenghy, President of the Brazilian Petroleum Institute (IBP), among others.

In his speech, Almeida presented the infrastructure installed in Brazil as a result of the investments made in shipyards and construction sites around the country, highlighting the strong capacity to mobilize skilled labour in various regions. For him, this is a valuable opportunity for Brazil to present its capacity and expertise to the main players in the global energy industry. “We are a continental country, with extensive installed capacity and skilled labor to supply a significant part of the local demand for oil-producing platforms (FPSOs),” he says.

Also present from the Novonor Group were Tenenge’s Business Director, Marcelo Neves, and the president of the Enseada shipyard, Ricardo Ricardi, who presented to the audience the strengths of the partnership between the two companies to meet the demands of national offshore construction.
