Considering the transformations underway in the company, the needs of the new generation, feedback from leaders, and the integration of members, in 2021 the OR People team restructured and launched the OR internship program.

The Origen Program aims to identify and train the future generation of OR integrants aligned to Our Culture. At the same time that the Program aims to provide access to the first professional experiences of young people, so that they can develop their potential and talents, its other objective is oxygenening the work environment with new ideas and practices.

For this reason, Origen was designed with a Project module, which challenges the youth and their leader to apply in the context of their PA an improvement to the OR’s processes and management.

The Program consists of four stages:

1 – Development: conducting career talks and online training to provide knowledge of the Business and Our Culture.

2 – Follow-up: Quarterly formal feedback and career guidance.

3 – Project: every 1-year cycle, the trainee submits a project linked to the PA for evaluation.

4 – Conclusion: Closing dialog, which brings the points resulting from the evaluations carried out in the two annual internship cycles.

In Origen’s first cycle, the young participants stood out for their sense of belonging, recognition, practice and dissemination of Our Culture, and team strengthening. Because communications are online using media such as LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Teams and emails, the engagement and interaction of the program on these social media was also noticeable.

The second cycle of the Program, which has 39 trainees, started in early 2023 with a chat about the importance of being a trainee at OR, which included the LN, Eduardo Pedreira, the director of People, Communication and Planning, Cristiane Giansante and the person responsible for Production at the Pernambuco regional office, Gabriel Maia, as well as the trainee leaders. “The Origen Program lectures and meetings are being very enriching. In addition to bringing up subjects related to OR and our daily lives, they also cover topics relevant to both personal and professional education. Another advantage is having the opportunity to meet trainees from other regions, whom we normally don’t have contact with”, says Laura Trimer, a trainee from Incorporation, participating in the second cycle of the Origen Program.

Throughout the year, the interns will participate in monthly meetings focused on professional and personal development, real estate market and dissemination of Our Culture. Some of the topics covered at Origen are: real estate cycle, time management, self-knowledge and purpose, as well as conversations about the OR culture and way of being.
