  • Novocais do Porto receives clean energy certificate

    On May 23, the Novocais do Porto enterprise, located in Rio de Janeiro, received the clean energy certificate provided by the Prime Energy company, an energy consulting firm specializing in products and services focused on reducing energy costs.

    The certificate attests that the purchase of electricity from renewable sources means that the enterprise stops emitting 1,881 tons of CO2 into the environment, equivalent to filtering 13,436 trees. The calculation is based on the guidelines and good environmental practices of the Brazilian Ministry of Development and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
