SuperVia Team Member is elected Railroader of the Year

Estanislau Melchior Ramalho, an electrical engineer and coordinator of the electrical systems area at SuperVia, was elected Model Railroader by Revista Ferroviária, the most important sector magazine. The award honors professionals who contributed the most to advancements in passenger transportation.

“Knowing that there is someone we need to take home, to work or school invigorates my day-to-day routine. There are people who depend on my efforts so that everything goes well in their routines, and that is a nontransferable responsibility,” he explains.

Estanislau, who has been with SuperVia – an Odebrecht TransPort company – for 19 years, was nominated by the company and selected by the magazine’s editorial council. The evaluation considers three criteria: achievement of production targets, team spirit and creativity in seeking solutions.

Estanislau leads a team of 80 professionals who are responsible for the energy system that powers the 199-train fleet that circulates on a rail network measuring 270 km and which runs through 12 cities.
