• A lot of emotion and learning at the 3rd edition of the Our Culture Seminar

    September 5th saw the 3rd edition of the Our Culture Seminar, an event that brings together all the companies in the Novonor Group to reflect on and exchange experiences about the values that unite and guide its members.

    The event featured presentations by Héctor Núñez, Novonor’s CEO, who opened the meeting and shared the Group’s current scenario, as well as very special appearances by members selected to talk about their careers, with touching moments of interaction with the LNs of the Businesses and leaders of the Foundation and Auxiliary Companies. Representatives of Novonor’s Board of Directors also took part.
    Bringing together thousands of members, located in different parts of Brazil and the world via online transmission, as well as a face-to-face audience made up of 70 representatives from the Group’s companies, the event provided an enriching experience.

    One of the highlights was the testimony of the life and career of Orres Vicente da Silva, a member who was honored for his long career with the company and testimony to the practice of values. “It’s a great emotion to be here, because of the life and challenging moments I’ve been through. I joined as a helper 46 years ago, I believed in the company and today I feel fulfilled. I always say to the teams: believe in people, that makes the difference”.

    The Seminar, conducted on stage with great resourcefulness and charisma by Caroline Magalhães, from the Fundação Norberto Odebrecht, also revisited memorable moments from previous editions through videos and then highlighted real examples of how corporate culture is practiced on a daily basis. Novonor Participações e Investimentos Business Leader, Juliana Baiardi, highlighted the Action Program: “I believe that the PA cycle is the greatest tool for consolidating Our Culture, through planning, monitoring, evaluation and concluding with results,” she said.
    The event ended with the launch of an E-learning platform dedicated to Our Culture, created so that everyone can explore and deepen their knowledge of the values, in an up-to-date and digital way, with simple and dynamic language.

    The meeting won the expressive approval of 97% of the audience, according to an opinion poll, which demonstrates the importance of Our Culture for all members.

    In the words of Novonor’s CEO, Héctor Núñez: “Within the various business sectors and regions where we operate, there is a unity of values that guides our thoughts and actions. This unity is represented by Our Culture, which reflects the enduring presence of our founder, Norberto Odebrecht. It is through this culture that we will achieve concrete and intangible results in building our future.”
