Between October 5 and 9, Odebrecht Engenharia & Construção held the 3rd edition of Our Culture Week, an initiative that has become firmly established as one of the company’s key annual moments for strengthening its organizational identity and the values that guide its operations.

Under the theme “Culture that Transforms,” the initiative brought together employees from offices, projects, and construction sites across different locations through a program dedicated to reflection, learning, dialogue about the practice of Our Culture in everyday life, and the recognition and celebration of the legacy of Our Founder, Norberto Odebrecht.

According to Ernesto Baiardi, Odebrecht’s Business Leader, the company’s organizational culture continues to be one of its main differentiators.“Our Culture is one of our greatest assets. It guides our decisions, strengthens trust among people, and helps us build both tangible and intangible results. Our Culture Week is an opportunity to reinforce what unites us and prepares us for the challenges of the future,” said Ernesto.

The program included a series of initiatives aimed at strengthening employees’ connection with the organization’s principles and values. On the very first day, the activity “I See Culture Everywhere” transformed offices and project sites into environments of inspiration and learning, featuring messages and reflections based on the legacy of founder Norberto Odebrecht, addressing topics such as leadership, trust, discipline, a spirit of service, and education through work.

Another highlight was the “Campfire Conversation,” a space dedicated to sharing experiences and lessons learned. At construction sites and operational fronts, the DDS | Our Culture Guide meetings promoted discussions on safety, individual responsibility, and leadership by example.

Team engagement was also encouraged through the Culture Games – Values Wheel, an activity designed to inspire reflection on how the company’s principles translate into everyday behaviors and decisions.

Meanwhile, Coffee with Leadership created opportunities for open dialogue between managers and employees from different areas, strengthening relationships and the exchange of experiences. The initiative Stories that Transform gave voice to inspiring stories of growth and learning, highlighting the impact of culture on employees’ professional and personal development.

The agenda also included Our Culture Cinema, featuring content about the thinking of Norberto Odebrecht and discussions on the organization’s foundations; the recognition initiative “I See Culture in You,” which celebrated attitudes aligned with the company’s Way of Being; and the Values Web Series, dedicated to sharing stories and reflections on the practical application of culture in business.

In addition to these activities, customized frames, signs, and photo cards created opportunities for integration, celebration, and pride in belonging.

More than an institutional program, Our Culture Week reinforced the conviction that an organization’s values become stronger when they are lived every day. Across different environments, leaders and teams were invited to reflect on how attitudes, decisions, and relationships built on trust contribute to sustainable results, strengthening commitment to Our Values and Our Way of Being.

According to Paulo Quaresma, People & Organization Leader at Odebrecht, the success of the third edition highlights the importance of maintaining spaces dedicated to dialogue and human connection. “Culture is strengthened through relationships, dialogue, and daily examples. Seeing the engagement of our employees in this third edition reinforces the importance of continuing to create spaces for connection, learning, and recognition, bringing people closer to what we believe in and practice,” he emphasized.

The strong participation of teams once again demonstrated culture’s ability to connect generations, strengthen bonds, and inspire behaviors aligned with the organization’s present and future challenges.

By celebrating stories, recognizing key contributors, and sharing lessons learned, Our Culture Week reaffirmed the essential principle that, when values are put into practice, culture ceases to be merely a concept and becomes a transformative force for people, business, and the future that everyone builds together.
