With the objective of strengthening a culture of respect, equity, and appreciation for people, the UHN–Tenenge Consortium recently held a dialogue session on Diversity and Inclusion with members of the workforce at the Suape Complex. The initiative brought together employees from different areas for a moment of reflection, learning, and exchange of experiences on the importance of building an increasingly inclusive and welcoming work environment.

The activity was led by the Human Resources Managers of the Suape Industrial Complex and members of the Diversa Working Group (WG), who addressed key concepts related to diversity, inclusion, and respect for differences. During the session, attitudes and practices that contribute to healthier and more collaborative workplace relationships were also discussed, reinforcing the role of each employee in promoting equal opportunities.

The initiative was aligned with the principles of Respeito Constrói (Respect Builds), a program rooted in Our Culture that reaffirms the value: “We are ethical, honest, and inclusive.” The program aims to strengthen behaviors guided by respect for people, appreciation of differences, and the fight against any form of discrimination, contributing to a more human and welcoming organizational culture.

According to Contract Director Maria Alencar, initiatives like this are essential to consolidating a work environment where everyone feels respected and valued. “Promoting spaces for dialogue on diversity and inclusion is essential to strengthening our culture and our relationships. When we value differences and ensure opportunities for everyone, we build stronger, more innovative, and more committed teams. This practice directly reflects our value of being ethical, honest, and inclusive,” highlighted Maria Alencar.

The session provided a valuable exchange of experiences among participants, who were able to share perspectives, clarify questions, and reflect on everyday situations. This interaction helped raise awareness of the topic and strengthened the collective commitment to building a more respectful and inclusive environment.

To make the learning experience even more engaging, the event concluded with an interactive quiz featuring questions related to the topics discussed. Participants actively took part in the activity, answering questions and sharing their views on the subjects addressed. The exercise encouraged reflection, reinforced the knowledge acquired, and promoted greater integration among those present.

Initiatives like this strengthen Our Culture and help ensure that everyone feels welcomed, respected, and recognized as a fundamental part of our collective success.
