Madden-Colón once again becomes the setting for the Gran Fondo Ocean to Ocean
DATE: 05/04/2026
The Madden-Colón Highway once again served as the venue for one of the most important sporting events in the region: the Gran Fondo Ocean to Ocean, which this year brought together more than 5,000 cyclists from 54 countries, consolidating itself as an international platform that showcases Panama’s road infrastructure and tourism potential.
This edition, held on April 19, marked the third year in which the competition crossed the highway operated by Concesionaria Madden Colón (CMC), a Nova Infra Invest business, reaffirming its role as a strategic partner in national initiatives that integrate sport, safe mobility, and international visibility.
During the event, CMC enabled a hydration point located at kilometer 33 (toll area), which became a meeting space for cyclists and organizers. The site once again featured a cultural presentation representative of Afro-Antillean tradition, accompanied by music and animation, adding local identity and a distinctive experience for participants.
The event was supported by the active participation of more than 25 CMC volunteers, who assisted with logistics and cyclist support, reflecting the team’s commitment to collaborative, high-impact initiatives.
“Gran Fondo is a space where Panama presents itself to the world through sport, culture, and infrastructure. For CMC, being part of it for the third consecutive year reinforces our commitment to road safety, teamwork, and the pride of contributing to events that generate positive impact at both national and international levels,” said Arturo Graell, Country Director of NOVA in Panama.
CMC’s participation in Gran Fondo 2026 reaffirmed the value of responsible operations, corporate volunteering, and community integration, aligning with the principles of sustainability, safety, and operational excellence that guide the management of the concession.
