Bahia norte, porto seguro and todos pela saude alliance to perform covid-19 tests, and give flu vaccines to truck drivers

Action is free and takes place at BA-093, near the toll plaza, in the city of Mata de São João

 With the purpose of supporting the fight against the pandemic and the truck drivers’ work, who perform essential functions for the population, Bahia Norte Concessionaire, Todos pela Saúde, initiative of Itaú Unibanco; and Porto Seguro have teamed up and perform free tests to identify the new coronavirus (Covid-19) – serological and also PCR tests – and giving influenza vaccines (H1N1) in an action near the KM44 of BA-093. One of the main traffic corridors of the BA093 System, managed by Bahia Norte, the site is close to the Concessionaire’s toll plaza, with the support team installed in a tent next to the Military Highway Police base in BA093.

To participate, the truck drivers must be have a class C or higher driving license, not being necessary to be with their trucks at the time of the test. Registrations will be made and the results of the exams will be sent directly to the professionals. The action takes place from August 19 to September 11, from 11am to 5pm. The purpose is to carry out an average of 130 tests per day.

The action has the communication support of CNTTL (National Confederation of Transport and Logistics Workers) , FECOOTAC (Federation of Cooperatives of Autonomous Freight Carriers)Pamcary, Telerisco and Sest Senat. Locally, the State Department for Infrastructure and the State Agency for the Regulation of Public Energy, Transportation and Communications Services of Bahia (Agerba)the PMBA (Military Police of Bahia) and PRE (State Highway Police) will support the action.
