DATE: 09/28/2023
With gross operating revenue of R$4.8 billion, up 63% on last year, OEC came first among heavy infrastructure construction companies in the Ranking of Brazilian Engineering, produced and published by the specialist magazine O Empreiteiro. Tenenge, OEC’s subsidiary for the industrial assembly and maintenance segment, was named this year as the 8th largest in the country in its sector. The ranking, which is considered a benchmark for the sector, is widely recognized not only by companies, but also by public and private contractors, including infrastructure concessionaires.
According to the publication, even with the economic challenges, such as high interest rates and inflation in 2022, the 100 largest construction companies achieved a 42.1% expansion in the gross revenue of companies dedicated to engineering activities, reaching a total amount of R$56.6 billion in the period.
The 52nd edition of the Ranking of Brazilian Engineering brought together the 500 largest engineering companies in Brazil. The ranking is based on the companies’ consolidated gross revenue, divided into four sectors: heavy construction, projects and consultancy, mechanical and electrical assembly, and special engineering services. The special edition of O Empreiteiro magazine also provided information on regional scenarios, opportunities for working in engineering services, growth variation tables and market analysis.
OEC’s leadership in this ranking reinforces its ongoing commitment to excellence and innovation in the heavy construction sector, solidifying its presence as one of the main references in the Brazilian infrastructure market.
