The construction of the Guaratuba Bridge, being carried out by Odebrecht Engineering & Construction on the coast of Paraná, has reached 65% completion. One of the highlights of the project, which is being executed by the Department of Roads and Highways (DER/PR), was the progress of the cable-stayed section structure.

Over the past month, the starting segments that support the main towers were completed. Additionally, a total of 54 piles have been concreted in the bay so far. The production of precast longitudinal beams also continued, with 105 structures manufactured and 88 already installed on the crossbeams.

The bridge is being built along the PR-412 highway, and its full length of 3.07 km lies within the municipality of Guaratuba. However, the project includes access points at both ends, referred to as the Matinhos side and the Guaratuba side. The Guaratuba access section is approximately 951 meters long, while the Matinhos side is about 875 meters in length.

The bridge will have over 1,200 meters and will feature four traffic lanes, two safety lanes in each direction, sidewalks with a bike path, and guardrails—offering greater safety and comfort for residents and visitors to the coast.
