Next month, from May 1st to 4th, Ocyan will be present at the largest technology event in the world, which will take place in the city of Rio de Janeiro, the Web Summit Rio 2023. The conference will bring together the main names in the technology area, in addition to connecting people with innovative ideas and projects, and aims to bring technology companies, renowned startups closer to the newest technologies on the market.
It will be the first time that the Web Summit takes place outside Europe and an audience of 20 thousand participants is expected at Riocentro, in Barra da Tijuca. “For us it will be a great opportunity to foster the startup ecosystem in Rio de Janeiro. We will take the opportunity to open the applications for the second edition of the Ocyan Waves Booster, our startup accelerator program as well as introduce the Ocyan Waves platform, as a whole. As the focus of Booster this year will be to find businesses linked to new energy and digital services, we will be in the perfect environment for this launch,” says Patricia Grabowsky, executive manager of innovation at Ocyan.
Ocyan will have a booth (E178) in pavilion 4 of Riocentro and those who stop by will be able to enroll in the second edition of the program at first hand, as well as network and clarify doubts with the team that will be there. Also present: Petrobras, Itaú, Shell, AWS, Embraer, among others.
The Web Summit 2023 program is packed with prominent speakers such as Lorraine Twohill, CMO of Google; Mike Krieger, Co-founder of Instagram; Parag Agrawal, CEO of Twitter; Craig Federighi, Senior Vice President of Apple; among others, which will provide participants with countless networking possibilities with entrepreneurs, in addition to the presence of a thousand startups. “Unique and fundamental opportunity for Brazil, especially Rio de Janeiro.
