Ocyan joins UN Women’s program
DATE: 08/19/2020
Seeking to increase the female presence among its members, Ocyan has joined the “Equity is Priority” Program, conceived by the United Nations Global Compact. The project was developed with support from “UN Women” to train and offer mentoring to companies in 19 countries in order to stimulate female empowerment and gender equity in the market.
The company’s objective is to accelerate female presence in top leadership and at all levels of the company in the next five years, through structuring actions. The program will set goals in the short and medium term. After the first step, that was given with the adherence to the UN Women’s program, Ocyan will study permanent actions.
The company will follow the stages of training, qualification and mentoring in partnership with the independent consulting of Sense Lab, an expert in creating initiatives to accelerate the female presence in leadership positions.
The decision to join the “Equity is Priority” is in line with a more contemporary vision and with the current debate in world society. The Ocyan Diversity program was created one year and a half ago to make the company more and more plural, with not only technically qualified professionals, but with more creative and distinct visions that can add more and more value to the business.
Ocyan has sought to offer various opportunities for women and ways of helping their technical development so they can naturally take up leading positions throughout their careers.
