UFBA students tour Reserva Sauípe construction site
DATE: 10/02/2018
On September 28, students in the sixth semester of their Civil Engineering program at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) toured the construction site of Reserva Sauípe in the state of Bahia.
The students were accompanied by Hassan Luedy, head of construction and technical support, André Cajazeira, head of QHES-S, and Marcelo Cruz, production engineer at Reserva Sauípe. With these technical visits to construction sites, universities seek to expose students to new experiences and give them an opportunity to see in practice what they learned in the classroom.
OR’s André Cajazeira commented on the program developed to encourage visits by students similar to the one on Friday. “The purpose of the University on Site program is to strengthen relations between OR and universities by showing students the construction cycle of a project. For the university, the program is an opportunity for students to learn about a large builder in Bahia’s real estate market, our corporate culture, the construction methods used and the sustainability actions developed in projects and local communities. OR is seeking to forge partnerships with universities to attract young students interested in contributing to the company’s growth and perpetuity through either its internship program or innovative research projects.”
