“We went through a careful evaluation by the institute and this is another demonstration of the soundness and high standard of the work performed in the Novonor Group since 2016,” says Rafael Mendes, Compliance Lead at Novonor S.A.

The Compliance System of the Group’s companies was conceived and meets the main national and international guidelines issued by the Brazilian laws, the CGU, the US Department of Justice, the OECD, the UK Ministry of Justice, International Transparency, the World Bank, the ISO 37001 Standard for Anti-Bribery Management Systems, the IBGC, among others, and has been assessed and approved by many of these authorities and organizations.

“Ethics, integrity and transparency are values of Our Culture, non-negotiable for us, and the evolution of integrity programs and measures to promote ethics and the prevention, detection and remediation of irregularities is permanent. Now, together with IBGC, we can advance even further,” Rafael points out.

IBGC has been active for 27 years in disseminating good governance practices through professional training and certification programs and events. It is part of the network of Institutos de Gobierno Corporativo de Latino America (IGCLA) and the Global Network of Director Institutes (GNDI), which brings together institutes connected with governance and board of directors worldwide.
