ENSEADA signs agreement with PROSAFE for platform maintenance
DATE: 08/07/2019
In the next few days, Enseada will welcome in its shipyard in Maragojipe, Bahia, the Safe Concordia platform belonging to PROSAFE. As per the agreement, just signed in Rio de Janeiro, the platform will remain at Enseada’s industrial complex for up to six months to undergo maintenance services.
According to Carlos Tsubake, Chief Commercial Officer of Enseada, the shipyard’s strategic location and operational advantages were key to signing the partnership agreement. “We are very satisfied with this new agreement, the first with Prosafe. It is yet another maintenance agreement where we will receive a platform without thrusters being removed, although it’s possible to remove them in sheltered waters, to approximately 20km away from the shipyard,” he said.
Another advantage of Enseada’s industrial complex is the supply of high-quality electricity (29MW and 69KV), which spares the use of the platform’s generators. “This results in significant savings for our client,” he said.
About the Safe Concordia platform
The Safe Concordia platform is semi-submersible with dynamic positioning (DP2 Class). Built in 2005 and upgraded in 2015, it can house up to 461 people, besides supporting operations connected to the support route for maintenance and safety services for FPSOs and offshore platforms. Its deck area spans 1,300 m2 (laydown).
