Located in Horto Florestal, in Salvador, Monvert, a residential development planned and built by OR, won the Real Estate Development of the 27th edition of the Bahia Real Estate Market Managers Association (Ademi-BA) Awards. OR, which has already received the organization’s recognition as Best Company of the Year four times for its dedication, innovation and contributions to the development of the state of Bahia, has won successive awards with this venture.

Delivered in January last year, Monvert also became the first residential development in Brazil to receive the EDGE Advanced sustainability seal and had already achieved the first level of this certification in 2020, when it became the first residential development in the North-Northeast to receive this Sustainable Construction seal, for having reduced the use of water, electricity and energy used in the manufacture of materials by at least 20%. The Advanced Level represents even better results, in addition to 40% energy savings.

“Obtaining yet another award for Monvert reinforces our commitment to social and environmental responsibility and how much we seek innovation for our clients, always using creativity and technology as a way of promoting a harmonious coexistence between man and nature, from the construction process to completion and delivery,” celebrates Daniel Sampaio, OR’s superintendent in Bahia. For all these attributes, Monvert also obtained the IPTU Verde Nível Ouro for residents, in which Salvador City Hall grants a 10% discount on the Urban Property Tax.

According to Daniel Sampaio, in addition to saving money and caring for the environment, these achievements consolidate OR’s commitment as one of the companies with the largest number of green developments in Brazil and promote the concept of ESG in the real estate market, changing the reality of Brazil and positively impacting people’s lives.

Monvert is also the first OR development to offset all of its carbon emissions from construction, through an action that planted more than 2,000 native Atlantic Forest trees, equivalent to two soccer pitches, to offset 630 tons of carbon during construction.
