Signing of Statement of Commitment with Petrobras enables Ocyan to participate in bids
DATE: 09/13/2018
Ocyan is once again eligible to participate in bid processes announced by state-owned Petrobras after the latter signed a Statement of Commitment with Odebrecht S.A. on August 20. Ocyan’s registration was reactivated in the client’s contracting system (Petronect) on August 28.
With the removal of the provisional ban, Ocyan is now eligible to participate, with regard to the integrity criterion, in the bid processes announced by Petrobras for production assets (FPSOs), drilling rigs, subsea infrastructure and offshore maintenance services. In early July, Petrobras had already announced the approval of the terms of the agreement, which also involves other Odebrecht Group companies.
The removal of the ban comes at a unique moment for the company, which concluded a sweeping financial restructuring at the end of 2017 and rebranded itself in January this year.
