OCYAN RECEIVES BUILDING AWARENESS CHAMPION AWARD

Ocyan received the Building Awareness Champion – the International Award of the internal audit awareness month, promoted by the global Institute of Internal Auditors (The IIA), headquartered in the United States. The company was awarded for its campaign conducted in May to promote audit professionals, whose main objective was to convey internally the importance of the area, which is essential to the success of Compliance actions.

The award is part of an annual program promoted by the renowned institute The IIA around the globe. “The choice of Ocyan reflects the excellent work of the Internal Audit team in partnership with the other areas of the company. This effort shows our evolution in terms of compliance,” celebrated Ocyan’s CEO, Roberto Simões.

The IIA awarded Ocyan for its initiatives conducted during the IIA May. The Company promoted a campaign among its team members, including lectures and internal notices and exposure on its institutional website, aiming to disseminate information on internal audit and promote the role and importance of the area for the company.

The award is yet another action of Ocyan’s Compliance department, which appointed 20 ethics agents throughout the company this year and celebrated the positive results of the first year of the Ethics Line, managed by an independent third-party. “Internal Audit is an integral part of Ocyan’s Compliance System and this symbolic award shows that we are advancing with the expected quality in all fronts,” said Nir Lander, Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) of Ocyan.

The IIA Global encourages professionals, departments and institutes around the world to actively promote the value of Internal Audit during the month of May, considered to be the International Internal Audit Awareness Month.

The goal is to engage professionals to promote more knowledge of the area’s activities and award its members in recognition.
