  • President of Angola visits Lobito Refinery construction site

    This week, the Lobito Refinery project welcomed the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, and the Minister of Mineral Resources, Oil, and Gas, Diamantino de Azevedo, who observed the progress of the construction work in Benguela province.

    During the visit to the project, the various phases under way were presented, with the first phase scheduled for completion in June 2027, with a capacity to process 200,000 barrels of oil per day.

    The provincial governor of Benguela, Manuel Nunes Júnior, also present at the event, highlighted “the magnitude of the project, which will not only generate thousands of jobs but also improve the quality of life of the population.”

    With more than 2,700 workers, the project aims to boost other sectors of the national economy.
