DATE: 08/06/2025
Odebrecht Angola and the National Institute of Employment and Vocational Training of Benguela signed today, August 6, a cooperation agreement aimed at promoting access to first-time employment for newly graduated youths.
The agreement sets the foundation for integrating young people trained by INEFOP in courses such as Culinary and Pastry, Plumbing, Carpentry, Civil Construction Design, Surveying, and Occupational Health, Safety, and Hygiene. These young professionals will begin practical experience at Odebrecht facilities, receiving a monthly stipend in accordance with current labor legislation.
This partnership aims to provide young people with the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge in a practical work environment, contributing to their technical and professional development and strengthening the link between training and employability.
“We believe that youth employability is a essential pillar for Angola’s sustainable development. This joint initiative is a clear example of Odebrecht’s commitment to the country’s future and to valuing national talent,” said Matheus Gontijo of Odebrecht Angola.
INEFOP Benguela´s Director Sebastião Fernando Custódio highlighted: “We are very pleased to sign this agreement with a company of Odebrecht Angola’s history and capacity. This collaboration opens real doors for our youth and strengthens our mission to provide quality training aimed at integration into the job market.”
The agreement took effect on the date of signing and includes, among other provisions, performance evaluations of the young participants. Odebrecht and INEFOP are committed to acting in good faith, with responsibility and transparency, to ensure the success of this joint initiative with strong social impact.
