Young Apprentice Programme in Soledade (RS) receives support from the ViaSul Consortium
DATE: 05/13/2025
The ViaSul Construction Consortium (CCVS), formed by Odebrecht Engineering & Construção and PowerChina, contributed to the recent implementation of the Young Apprentice programme in the municipality of Soledade (RS). The companies’ participation was agreed at a meeting held on 29 April with the Mayor Paulo Ricardo Cattaneo, who received representatives from the Consortium and SENAI in his office.
The initiative aims to offer young people from Soledad, aged between 15 and 24, an opportunity to gain technical qualifications and enter the labour market.
The project provides a free course for Industrial Logistics Process Operators. The selected participants will receive a scholarship, as well as having their licences signed by the CCVS, guaranteeing practical experience during their training.
The course is expected to start in the second half of July. Soledade City Hall will be responsible for providing the physical structure for the classes, while SENAI will supply the teaching materials and professional instructors. The CCVS will recruit the young people who will take part in the programme.
The Mayor Paulo Ricardo Cattaneo emphasised the importance of the initiative as an incentive for the training and professional development of young people. ‘This is a concrete opportunity to transform lives. We are joining forces with serious institutions to offer training, employment and dignity to our young people. This is how we build a better future for Soledade,’ he said.
The meeting was also attended by vice-mayor Jonas Morais; the deputy secretary of the Secretariat for Economic Development, Innovation and Tourism, Gisele Valendorff; the secretary for Social Development and Housing, Jocival Machado; as well as Iolanda Hennrichs and Patrícia Wesz Klein, representing the CCVS, and Juliano Pereira and Leonir Zignani, from SENAI in Passo Fundo.
