Members of the OEC in Angola visited the Barra do Dande Ocean Terminal project, where they had the opportunity to learn about one of the most important projects underway in the country. The scale of the project, challenges and achievements in all areas delighted all the participants.

The action is another initiative for interaction, not only so that the office teams can experience the reality of the work, but also to promote engagement and unity.

The group learned about the various phases of the project to date and how it will look once it is completed, in detail. The progress made in engineering and related areas was presented, in particular the management of the shipyard, the sustainability and maritime structure area, and the good pace of activity was noted.

“They were nostalgic moments experienced with harmony and great satisfaction at being part of this great undertaking, because the TOBD belongs to all of us, in its different stages, in the most diverse areas of knowledge. The visit created an opportunity for great interaction between members, with lots of joy and smiles, between nationals and expatriates who proudly represent our OEC 40 years jersey. It was very pleasant, we were pleased and we hope to be able to do it on other occasions in different OEC projects,” said Carlos Veloso, head of Afeq at DS Africa, who has worked for the company for 25 years.

“The visit highlighted the magnitude and strategic importance of the project for the national energy sector. This type of interaction with the works allows for better engagement and understanding of the impact of our daily activities, as well as inspiring our members to continuously contribute to the development of our country. We would like to thank everyone involved in carrying out this important project and the entire support team,” said Herlander Pinto, responsible for DS Africa’s financial area and has worked at the OEC for 17 years.
