OEC – Engenharia e Construção and TPF Engenharia are in the implementation phase of the BIM (Building Information Modelling) Execution Plan in the works of Section 5 of the Canal Adutor do Sertão Alagoas. It is a set of processes and tools whose implementation facilitates and enables a deep digital transformation in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) Industry, with a scope that contemplates from the project preparation stage to the construction and asset management phases. The adopted data exchange protocol is the IFC (Industry Foundation Classes), an open standard that guarantees the exchange of information, enabling the use of different software during the development of the Project.
The Canal Adutor do Sertão Alagoas is a project of the Alagoas State Government and aims to benefit populations that suffer from drought through the transposition of water from the São Francisco River. The initiative shows proactivity in the face of the federal decree that foresees the full adoption of BIM as of 2028.
According to the OEC’s Infrastructure Business Director N/NE, Henrique Paixão, BIM is the path that accelerates the digital transformation of the heavy construction industry. “We increasingly want to be a reference in the use of BIM, optimizing our construction processes and methods, with a view to accumulating productivity gains for our clients,” reveals the executive.
