OEC Talks: OEC online meeting resumes the practice of sharing knowledge in our Culture

The OEC Talks debuted in May and the initiative resumes the practice of sharing knowledge in our Culture (conversations at the ‘foot of the fire’) where many topics will be addressed, always according with the Company’s strategy, in an agile, creative and transparent manner. These are short-term events with a wide reach through broadcasts to all countries where the OEC is present.
This dynamic provides a more informal and conducive environment for Members to interact, as well as elevating both presenters and participants to the role of protagonists, who have the opportunity to interact through of Questions and Answers section available in the tool.
With 415 Members online, the first guest was José Quintella – DO Brasil – who addressed topics such as the measures taken as a result of the pandemic, map of contracts in execution, resumption of growth, contracts recently won and the prospect of investments in infrastructure. Entrepreneurs Giorgio Bullaty, Marcelo Neves, Maria Alencar, Pedro Leão and Wagner Marangoni were also able to answer the participants’ questions.
The 2nd edition of OEC Talks, last Friday (05), had Marcos Machado, DO Exterior, as a speaker. The event, organized by the People & Organization (P&O) area, also had the participation of Country Directors (DPAs) Mauricio Cruz, Marcus Azeredo, Pedro Pinheiro and Marcelo Hofke.
During the event, the physical progress of the contracts was presented, including AHE Laúca and the Girassol condominium, both in Angola. A brief panel also showed the evolution of the ECR Highway project in Ghana, the completion of the CT Punta Catalina project in the Dominican Republic, and the progress of the MDX works, Porto and Airport in Miami the United States, and IIRSA South and North in Peru, works 100% OEC. The construction of Metro Line 2 in Panama and Maintenance contract, as well as Tocumen Airport and the Urban Renovation of Colón were also on the agenda.
About Investments, Marcos mentioned the harvest record and the agreement with the banks to settle the debts and place Biocom (Angola) at an international level. He also mentioned Belas Shopping, in Angola, the CMC operation, a project that links from Atlantic to Pacific, in Panama, and Rutas de Lima and Trasvase Olmos, both in Peru.
The OEC Talks aims to reinforce the Members’ sense of belonging, transparency and engagement through direct interaction with the new generation of Leaders, reinforcing the Company’s main strategies and specific skills of the Engineering & Construction business.
