Wagner Viana is the interviewee of OEC Connection in April
DATE: 04/13/2023
In the tenth episode of the podcast OEC Connection, Wagner Viana, OEC Engineering Manager in Rio de Janeiro, talked about the latest achievements of the company in the state and how the use of innovation can help optimize performance and competitiveness in future bids.
According to Wagner, despite the challenges of recent years, the construction company has been resilient and has relied on reengineering processes to become even more competitive in the market in which it operates. The results have been satisfactory: earlier this year, within the span of a week, four contracts were won, two with CEDAE (State Company of Water and Sewage) and two with the Municipal Government of Rio de Janeiro.
In the episode, Viana also talked about the great and necessary challenge of thinking about how new technologies can help the construction site, especially in the production line, and mentioned the transformations he expects for the civil construction sector in the future. According to him, “we have to break barriers, innovate to understand how this will help us in our daily lives. That’s what we’re increasingly looking for.”
The tenth episode is now available on Spotify and Youtube.
OEC Connection
The podcast is part of the OEC IN ecosystem, an OEC initiative aimed conceiving solutions for the challenges faced in the company’s construction sites and offices. It was structured based on four pillars: developing an internal culture focused on mobilization and engagement for Innovation; connecting OEC to open innovation; providing technical support in technological upgrading, knowledge management, and digital transformation processes; and positioning the construction company as a protagonist that fosters and integrates innovation in its industry. The program is published monthly and its content is available on the company’s channels on Spotify and Youtube.
