This November OR presented its members with new badges that, breaking away from the more traditional format, brought the option to choose more relaxed photos instead of the corporate standard, even allowing photos with pets.

Another new feature was the possibility for members to add, in addition to their names, the pronouns with which they identify themselves and some nicknames or ways they like to be called, making it easier to interact with other colleagues and suppliers in their day-to-day lives.

“Even nowadays when we use facial recognition or fingerprinting to access offices and construction sites, we realized that many members missed having their badge, with their photo and name. We ended up creating a simple model, but which at the same time is useful, including, in addition to the name and photo, the shorter name by which the person likes to be called and his/her pronoun, in line with OR’s commitment to offer increasingly diverse and inclusive work environments,” says Fernando Bammesberger, Marketing and Communication Manager at OR.

The action is small, but shows how a simple badge can be an important piece of communication that goes beyond the internal environment and reflects the position and values of the company.
