You can now check out the last episode of the special trilogy about Building Information Modeling (BIM), which examines the future vision and perspectives that await the construction industry with the use of this system.

In the third episode, the two guest experts, José Carlos Lino, international consultant at BIM Strategist, and Wilton Catelani, from BIM Champion, delve into the future possibilities of BIM. One of the main points highlighted is the need for construction companies to begin their digitization journey, with BIM being the first crucial step in this process.

The adoption of BIM requires a significant organizational effort, and is considered the starting point for the future of the industry. Catelani believes that the use of this methodology in the future is inexorable and, therefore, companies need to reinvent themselves: “There is no future without BIM, there is no future without digitalization”, said the expert.

Lino, meanwhile, addresses the importance of moving away from existing digital models in the industry and towards a global level of digitization, also incorporating the growing concern for sustainability and care for people into construction practices.

The experts not only discuss the future of employability in engineering, but also emphasize the importance of BIM as an indispensable criterion for participating in the industry. They share the view that if BIM is an enabler at present, in the future it will become a fundamental requirement in the labor market, driving innovative transformations in engineering.

The thirteenth episode has already been released and can be accessed on Spotify and YouTube.

    Recall:

The special series on BIM, which featured three episodes, focused on how this innovative methodology is revolutionizing engineering. In the previous episodes, the podcast provided a comprehensive introduction to what BIM is and its main concepts. The various applications of this innovative system were then discussed, highlighting the benefits and enhancements that BIM can provide in terms of efficiency and collaboration.
