On October 24, the OEC took part in a meeting of the Civil Construction Sector Technical Committee of the National Industrial Learning Service (SENAI), which brought together professionals from the academic sphere, the public sector, trade unions and companies in order to validate the professional profiles of the courses it offers.

Cristiano Oliveira, from the Engineering department, represented the company at the event along with professionals from CREA-SP, FATEC, GAFISA and the StraubJunqueira sustainability consultancy for the construction industry. SENAI has a nationally recognized teaching nucleus and is responsible for training and updating construction professionals.

“Participating in the Sectoral Technical Committee, made up of members of the construction industry, trade unions and academia, allows the OEC to collaborate with the development of thousands of professionals in a sector that is so important to the Brazilian economy,” says Cristiano.

Two postgraduate courses were evaluated: one on Lean Construction and the other on sustainable architecture; and a technical course on Light Steel Frame assembly. Through this technical-consultative forum, it was possible to add the experience of these professionals to contribute to the revision and approval of the syllabus, as well as to consolidate the competencies and skills required of the professional that SENAI will direct to the market.
