President of the Republic and Governor of Bahia authorize the start of construction on Section IV of the Salvador Metro

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and the Governor of Bahia, Jerônimo Rodrigues, authorized this Thursday (2) the start of construction on Section IV of Line 1 of the Salvador Metro, extending to Campo Grande. The new section will be 1.1 kilometers long and will be built underground, starting from Lapa Station.
The forecast is that Campo Grande Station will be completed by 2026. The expansion of Line 1 will be carried out by the Expresso 2 de Julho Consortium, formed by the construction companies Odebrecht, Álya, Metrô Engenharia, and MPE Engenharia.
