DATE: 12/11/2018
Odebrecht Engineering & Construction (OEC) in Angola was awarded the diploma of merit by the Order of Engineers of Angola (OEA) for services rendered in the field of engineering.
The first 2018 Engineers’ Gala, held on December 7 at the Complexo Hoteleiro da Endiama (CHE) in Luanda, honored engineering professionals who contributed for the growth of the professional class.
“OEC is one of the companies that undoubtedly contributed to the edification of an institution of professionals, committed to promoting engineering in Angola,” said Augusto Paulino Neto, chairman-elect of OEA.
Manuel Kai and Ladislau Costa, engineers in the Laúca Hydroelectric Plant project, represented the company at the event.
“It’s an honor to receive the Order and an encouragement for us to remain available to work towards the country’s growth,” said Manuel Kai.
Apart from the founding commission of the Order, 10 companies and 17 engineers received honors.
