OR maintains certifications of the Quality Management System
DATE: 04/27/2023
In early March, the OR successfully passed another audit to keep its ISO 9001 and PBQP-H level A Quality Management certifications. Auditing is a sampling process, which aims to verify that the practice complies with what the benchmark standards and other applicable requirements (such as laws, regulations, internal procedures) dictate. Held by Fundação Vanzolini, the accredited company responsible for issuing the certificates, the opening meeting took place at the Verano site (PE) and the closing one at the headquarters, in São Paulo.
The current scope of the quality management system (QMS) is “Incorporation and Execution of building works”, this means that the activities related to these macroprocesses belong to the QMS and, therefore, must meet the regulatory and other applicable requirements, including those defined by the OR, which has already been certified in ISO 9001 since 2010 and in the SiAC Referential since 2013.
This year, the quality processes related to the construction of the Verano (PE) were audited; Customer Relationship and Technical Assistance of the Pernambuco Regional Office; New Business, Product Development, and Upstream Engineering of the São Paulo Regional Office, and finally the Corporate Quality and Senior Management area (São Paulo).
In the view of Flávia Landim, responsible for Quality, Health, Occupational Safety, and Environment at the BA Regional Office, “This year’s External Audit provoked questions about the processes, the communication between the areas, and how we can be more effective in practice. As the QMS has already been in place for a few years, auditing is always the moment to evaluate, with a technical and neutral eye, our performance, promote discussion, learning, and redirect actions, solving the critical points identified for the continuous improvement of management and of OR’s products and services.
In view of the results observed, Fundação Vanzolini attested that our processes are adherent to the normative requirements of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and of the Normative Reference – Level A of the Brazilian Habitat Quality and Productivity Program (PBQP-H). “Quality Management is an excellent tool to bring us closer to our goals and to rethink about what we do, why we do it, and if our results are exactly what we want. I believe that it is a process of continuous analysis, which we must not lose sight of. When we understand what quality management is, we have a great advantage to plan and execute better and consequently, positively impact our clients’ satisfaction,” says Marília Duarte, responsible for Compliance, ESG and Quality at OR.
This achievement is a reflection of OR’s commitment to the quality of its products and customer satisfaction, reinforcing the perceived value of the OR brand.
