After the audit performed by the American entity ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers)OEC renews the Seal A Certification for Power Boiler Assemblies.which will be valid for another 3 years for OECI S.A.

The audits were carried out on July 20 and 21, covering the Corporate Headquarters in São Paulo and the UTE Santa Cruz project in Rio de Janeiro, where two heat recovery system generators are currently being assembled (HRSG) and a new Steam Turbine (STG), closing the combined cycle for electric power generation. All ASME requirements were met and demonstrated with great success, ensuring another certification period for the company.

“This certification represents a notorious technical differential for the company, demonstrating our search for excellence in Engineering and Construction, and OECI is pioneering in ASME’s Seal A in power boiler assembly in Brazil. ASME standards and certifications are widely requested in the international market, being required by law in most American states and lately has also become a requirement in our domestic market, as the case with the UTE Santa Cruz project”, says Fernando Toledo, responsible for the OEC’s Corporate Quality Management.

Recalling the history, OECI’s ASME certification was initially achieved in 2017 with the participation of the Punta Catalina Project in the Dominican Republic, being essential for the development and delivery of this notorious development. Later, it was required in the Cogeneración Timbues project in Argentina and is currently being essential to meet the requirements of the UTE Santa Cruz contract in Brazil.
