OEC receives IIA May Brazil 2023 label

For the second consecutive year, OEC – Engenharia & Construção is awarded by the Institute of Internal Auditors of Brazil with the IIA May Brazil Award, granted to companies that contribute to promoting the values of the Internal Audit activity in their markets.

May is International Internal Audit Awareness Month. To participate in the campaign, OEC’s Internal Audit team conducted various internal and external actions with the aim of presenting the activities carried out by the department and the progress made since its implementation.

Members in all countries where the company operates received weekly communications with information on the work carried out by the Internal Audit area. On social media, exclusive content was created so that OEC’s followers would also be aware of the importance of the team as a strategic partner in the day-to-day work of construction sites and support teams. This year, the team made further progress and held meetings to share experiences in process control and automation, meetings with partner companies, in addition to investing in the production of a gift distributed to all members of the headquarters office during a fraternization event, a moment in which we highlighted the importance of the area for the improvement of processes and institutional advancement of the OEC.

According to Luciana Secaf, Internal Audit Leader at OEC, the company has been demonstrating day after day that it deserves the recognition. “We have improved the control mechanisms and found that the results are very consistent, which positively impacts the relationship with customers and partners who demand our services. I would like to extend my gratitude to our team members, who increasingly understand and value the role of the Internal Audit department in the growth of our company,” evaluates.

The official ceremony to honor the winning companies will take place during the 43rd Brazilian Congress of Internal Auditing (Conbrai 2023), which will take place on November 26-28 in São Paulo.
