OEC in Peru started work on Monday (13) at IIRSA North, the concessionaire that operates a 970 km motorway. The project foresees the execution of periodic maintenance activities, such as the renovation of the existing pavement, construction of a new asphalt coating, in addition to works to stabilize, protect and rehabilitate sectors of the highway. The signed contract is valid for two years and can be extended progressively until 2031.

Although the performance of the Odebrecht Group, through its concessionaires, has continued uninterrupted in the country, this is the first time that the company has begun a new infrastructure contract in Peru in the last five years. The history of OEC in Peruvian territory began more than 40 years ago with the Charcani Hydroelectric Power Plant and today, with 80 contracts concluded in the country and a newly started one, it is already possible to dream about the new projects that are to come.
