Odebrecht participates in Google panel on corporate AI adoption

On June 17, Odebrecht Engineering & Construction took part in discussions on technological innovation. Alessandro Santana, IT Architecture and Development Leader, participated as a panelist at Agentic Work: Live + Labs, an event hosted by Google.

The event explored strategies for adopting Gemini Enterprise (Smart Odebrecht), discussing the future of work and how organizations are moving beyond the initial AI “hype” toward the practical, meaningful, and transformative adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in everyday business operations.

The panel featuring Odebrecht was moderated by Karin Soares Santos (Google) and included renowned industry professionals such as Noerci Battistella Junior (Hospital Sírio-Libanês) and Alline Antóquio (Gentrop). During the discussion, Alessandro Santana shared key milestones from Odebrecht’s digital transformation journey, which has become a benchmark within the industry.

According to Santana, one of the event’s key takeaways was that technology alone is not enough.

“There is no ‘magic’ when it comes to AI. Instead, it becomes a powerful productivity driver when supported by a clear strategy and a strong focus on human development. Odebrecht’s IT journey continues to be one of constant learning, daily evolution, and continuous course correction so that we can consistently generate the greatest possible value and efficiency for our organization.”

Alessandro also emphasized that the company’s transformation journey has been strengthened by a strategic partnership with Gentrop.
