The BR-316 requalification works in Pará are still in progress and some care is being taken to ensure the safety of everyone on the sites. Members returning from vacation undergo rapid testing, which are ready in up to ten minutes, to detect Covid-19.

NovaBR’s Occupational Medicine team has been applying the procedure to Members with symptoms of the new coronavirus on the project’s construction sites. Through blood samples, the test indicates whether the person has had contact with the virus or not. For more conclusive results, the procedure should be performed as of the seventh day of suspected case, since the presence of antibodies, which are the body’s defenses against the disease, is detected. After the examination, the medical team evaluates the possibility of return or temporary removal of the Member. The application of the quick test at NovaBR meets the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO), and the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa).
