Organization launches new mission and vision for the future in the month it turns 57

Educate to impact lives that transform tomorrow. This is the new mission of the Norberto Odebrecht Foundation, launched today, in the month in which the institution that is part of the Novonor Group completes 57 years. The new mission reflects a performance that represents society’s needs and reaffirms one of the main reasons why the Foundation was created: the belief in people’s potential to develop.

“Our focus is and always will be education,” says Fabio Wanderley, superintendent of the institution. “We are expanding our action to push even more social organizations, companies, and people toward building a sustainable future. We do this by coordinating technologies, integrating results, and managing non-reimbursable resources for sustainability, always with education as an important pillar. It is a new moment, a reflection of a series of advances that we have had in the last years”, he explains. Since 2017, when it evaluated the effectiveness of its Social Program and systematized its technology, the Foundation has been working to reach new territories, following the wishes of its founder, Norberto Odebrecht.

Future Vision

The Foundation also presented, today, its vision for the future: to be recognized for multiplying solutions of socio-environmental impact in order to build a sustainable future. According to Cristiane Nascimento, responsible for Sustainability, Partnerships, and Communication, “this vision demonstrates the strength of the institution’s social technology, which encompasses several social and environmental projects capable of facing up to the challenges that are posed in society. It also reinforces our articulating role and what we want to achieve. We know that it is not possible to promote social impact alone. Therefore, we aim to strengthen even more the network that involves public power, private initiative, and people who believe in the same causes that we believe in”, she says.

The process of building the new mission and vision for the future took place with the participation of the Foundation’s members, a specialized consulting firm, and the Board of Trustees. In addition to representing a more attractive, future-oriented, easy-to-communicate narrative, it evokes the expansion of boundaries and is directly connected to the purpose and vision of the Novonor Group.
