IIRSA Norte, a concessionaire of Nova Infra Invest, announces the successful completion of the first pilot of the Amazon Multimodal Corridor, an operation that enabled the transport of 28 tons of soybean meal from Brazil to Peru, traveling through the routes of Iquitos and Yurimaguas to its final destination in Tarapoto.

Beyond the volume transported, this milestone, developed jointly with MINCETUR and COPAM (Concesionaria Puerto Amazonas S.A.), represents a fundamental step toward strengthening logistical integration between both countries and confirms the viability of the Yurimaguas–Tarapoto Section as an efficient route for foreign trade.

This experience made it possible to validate, under real conditions, the river, port, logistical, and land-based processes, as well as the coordination among the participating institutions and companies. The results reaffirmed the strategic value of this multimodal infrastructure for the Amazon and its potential to drive regional development.

This achievement demonstrates that the Brazil–Peruvian Amazon corridor, of which IIRSA Norte is a part, is consolidating itself as a real alternative to facilitate commercial exchange. IIRSA Norte will continue working to maintain and strengthen the operational conditions that help improve connectivity, reduce logistical costs, and generate greater opportunities for Amazonian communities.
