DATE: 10/03/2024
Horiens participated on 09/11 in the Vino Security event, organized by Diazero Security, a cybersecurity solutions company.
Ronaldo Andrade, CISO (Chief Information Security Officer) at Horiens, presented the case “Simulation of cyber attacks on critical infrastructures”, an opportunity to show the market a case study on the implementation of a ransomware attack simulation in a large-scale corporation in the Oil and Gas market, aiming to examine and strengthen its response protocols to malicious incursions, which significantly contributes to a future placement of cyber insurance.
“In the current context, cybersecurity assumes an essential strategic position in companies. With the exponential increase in ransomware incidents targeting essential
infrastructures globally, the need for rigorous security assessments emerges, and Horiens is ready to support its clients with this type of demand,” says Andrade.
He added that the presented case confirms the importance of controlled and realistic simulations as a methodology for any company aiming for continuous improvement in cybersecurity. “The execution of these tests provides a safe environment to train specialists in realistic incident scenarios, allowing them to develop critical skills to react to imminent threats.”
“We are very excited to establish this partnership with Horiens. Together, we believe we can deliver even more robust and innovative solutions, ensuring the safety and success of our clients in an increasingly dynamic digital environment,” said Oscar Antonangelo, CEO of Diazero.
The meeting was held in São Paulo (SP) and was attended by 20 IT and information security leaders, including CIOs and CISOs from various sectors, who were also able to promote the exchange of ideas and share experiences in a question and answer session.
