  • Governor of São Paulo visits Rodoanel Norte construction site

    On September 25th, the Governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas, was received by the concessionaire Via Appia and the Cantareira Consortium, formed by the companies Odebrecht Engineering and Construction and Renea Infraestrutura, which are carrying out the works on the North section of the Rodoanel Governador Mario Covas, in the Metropolitan Region of São Paulo. The purpose of the visit was to monitor the work that

    will enable the completion of the ring road, contributing to the improvement of traffic around the most populous city in the country.

    Fábio Gandolfo, Infrastructure Superintendent Director of OEC, Giorgio Bullaty, Business Director of OEC, and Ricardo Corregio, Contracts Director of OEC, accompanied the governor on the visit. On the occasion, Governor Tarcísio de Freitas drove a loader under the supervision of operator Edmílson Antônio, who expressed his satisfaction in accompanying the illustrious visit.

    “This great work, so important for the state of São Paulo, will change the lives of many people, it will greatly relieve traffic. The work is beautiful, with many fathers and mothers working, bringing food home. In 2025 we will deliver the first part of it, and in 2026 we will complete this work and move on to the next ones, as we will continue to contract a lot of investment here in São Paulo,” said the governor.

    The kick-off of the works was given exactly 5 months ago, on 04/25/2024. The works are progressing at a fast pace, with the Consortium currently having 845 employees and 270 large equipment.

     

    Structure

    It is expected that more than 44,000 vehicles will circulate through the section daily, avoiding the traffic of heavy trucks on urban roads, contributing to better traffic flow throughout the region. The project scope includes a total extension of 44 km, with 18 km of road with four lanes, 26 km of roads with three lanes, seven double tunnels, 107 Special Art Works, including bridges and viaducts, four stops for special loads, four bays for hazardous product loads, two bases for User Service, two general inspection posts, and two weighing scales. The work will include civil and tunnel system works, earthworks, containment works, drainage, paving, signaling, among other services.
