Certification attests management quality and transparency actions carried out by the NOF
On Thursday (7), the Norberto Odebrecht Foundation was certified with a Selo Doar A+. This is the highest possible raking within the recognition granted by the Instituto Doar to organizations that meet strict transparency and management quality criteria. “Selo Doar is one of the country’s largest independent certifications for civil society organizations (CSOs),” explains Adélcio Menezes, responsible for Partnerships at the Foundation. “Receiving it once again, in the A+ category, shows society the robustness of our work. The trust that social investors and our partner institutions already have in us becomes even more concrete with this recognition,” he adds.
The Selo Doar A+ positions the Norberto Odebrecht Foundation as a differentiated organization among the country’s CSOs. With the recognition, “[the Foundation] becomes part of a select group of Brazilian organizations independently certified,” said Instituto Doar when communicating the approval. Being certified demonstrates correspondence to the “minimum quality standard defined by the Institute Doar and based on the main international certification models for civil society organizations,” the institution continued.
The criteria evaluated for the Seal are from the Cause and Strategy, Governance, Accounting and Finance, Management, Human Resources, Funding Strategy, Communication, Accountability, and Transparency areas. From the 52 possible points determined by the Institute, the Norberto Odebrecht Foundation earned 49 (the equivalent of 94% of the total).
