DATE: 09/18/2024
Norberto Odebrecht Foundation (FNO) has been recognized by the VoL 2024 Award for its VOCÊ volunteer program initiative, carried out in partnership with the OEC. The purpose of this award is to recognize, encourage and promote the best volunteer management practices in Brazil.
Created in 2021, the VoL Award recognizes the most relevant volunteering initiatives carried out by Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), companies, universities, municipalities and media outlets. This year, YOU was selected as a finalist in the Volunteer Management in CSOs category.
The collaborative program between the Norberto Odebrecht Foundation and OEC aims to connect members of the engineering and construction company with students from the Rural Family Houses, FNO’s partner institutions in the Southern Bahia Lowlands. The initiative offers mentoring focused on the lives and careers of young people, providing enriching exchanges of experiences between people from different contexts and realities, fostering the personal and professional development of the participants.
“Volunteering is a topic close to our hearts at the Novonor Foundation and Group, as it not only reinforces our values and Our Culture, but also celebrates the joint efforts of many hands, reflecting our commitment to positive impact and to building a more supportive and engaged society,” said Adelcio Sousa, coordinator of the FNO Partnerships area.
The awards event will take place in person in São Paulo (SP) on October 24. To find out more about the initiative, click here.
