Water is a fundamental resource for human life and well-being, an essential element for the survival of all living beings, being indispensable for agriculture, industry, energy generation, navigation, fishing and human consumption. It also plays a fundamental role in preserving aquatic ecosystems, guaranteeing biodiversity, ecological balance and the health of the planet as a whole.

On March 22, 1992, the United Nations (UN) established World Water Day, a global initiative to highlight crucial water issues and raise awareness about the importance of this vital resource. Each year, World Water Day addresses specific themes to emphasize different aspects related to the management, preservation and sustainable use of water.

In compliance with the actions planned under the Environmental Education and Social Communication Programs, Enseada developed the “Preserving water is valuing life: do your part” campaign in 2024, with a view to raising awareness about the importance of preserving water, by combating environmental pollution and encouraging the adoption of measures for its rational use, engaging workers and the surrounding communities in socio-educational actions.

Enseada operates on the premise that each individual plays a vital role in preserving this precious resource. By adopting responsible practices and supporting initiatives that raise awareness of the importance of water as an essential and finite resource, it is possible to promote the construction of a culture that values water as a collective good, with a view to a future where water is an agent of positive transformation, with peace and prosperity for future generations.
