CREA-RJ awards Certification Seal to the Gávea Construction Consortium
DATE: 03/31/2026
The largest gathering of Engineering, Agronomy, and Geosciences in Rio de Janeiro, CREA AQUI, held on March 19, also served as a platform for recognition and the presentation of exemplary practices. CREA-RJ included in the event’s program the awarding of Certification Seals to companies that meet current legal and regulatory requirements, particularly regarding registration compliance, the presence of duly qualified and registered technical professionals, and adherence to professional responsibilities compatible with the services performed.
During the event, CREA-RJ launched the Corporate Certification Seal—an instrument of recognition granted to companies that demonstrate full compliance with the legislation governing the professions overseen by the Council.
The Gávea Construction Consortium, formed by Odebrecht Engenharia & Construção and Carioca Engenharia, was awarded the Level 1 Commitment Seal. Rodrigo Jurdi, from Odebrecht, and Jayme Filgueiras de Aguiar, representing Carioca Engenharia, received the certification. On the occasion, Jurdi highlighted Odebrecht’s responsibility in resuming major urban mobility projects and the company’s strong presence in executing large-scale infrastructure projects in the state of Rio de Janeiro. The State Water and Sewage Company of Rio de Janeiro (Cedae), the concessionaire Águas do Rio, and Naturgy were also certified.
The president of CREA-RJ recalled that the certification recognizing best practices is only possible thanks to the Council’s inspection work in guiding companies and professionals within the system. He also took the opportunity to congratulate the entire team responsible for this demanding work, as well as all the companies recognized at the ceremony.
“May this seal represent not only recognition but also an incentive for excellence, technical responsibility, and commitment to society. And may the initiatives highlighted by CREA-RJ’s inspection team serve as inspiration for more and more professionals and organizations to strengthen best practices, contributing to the development of our state and to the appreciation of Engineering, Agronomy, and Geosciences,” encouraged Miguel Fernández, affirming that the Council will continue to highlight and support companies that deliver outstanding work.
